STREAM MID and MAX Range Re-Launched

March 2009

The STREAM-MID and STREAM-MAX have been given a makeover. The units will now use improved rugged housing and will include built-in surge protection and improved range/bandwidth performance.

The STREAM range works at 5GHz and is compatible with the 802.11a standard and has a data throughput rate of 45+ Mbit/Sec or (SuperAG Enabled) 80+ Mbit/Sec in turbo mode.

SilverNet moves premises

SilverNet has moved to a new office premise in Milton Keynes. The new office is much larger and situated in a prime location with easy transport access.

SilverNet to Launches NEW 300Mbps Link

September 2008

The STREAM-MAX300 works at 5GHz and is an Ideal high bandwidth solution for long-range point to point links, With staggeringly high throughput, gigabit network interface and very long distance transmission.

The 300Mbps link is already being deployed across many locations in europe. Increased range/throughput/reliability and lower cost was acheived and already proving to be a great success.

SilverNet Sponsors Mongolian Rally

July 2008

The Mongolia Charity Rally is a pan-continental drive across five mountain ranges, two deserts and more barren and inhospitable lands than you care to shake a gear-stick at. Starting in London, the final destination is the great Mongol capital of Mongolia, beyond the Gobi desert, Ulaanbaatar.

The charity is to raise funds for Willen Hospice, that provides specialist care for adults from Milton Keynes and surrounding areas who have cancer or other life limiting illness.

Blackburn Goes Live!

June 2008

Blackburn with Darwin Council , the local police Authority and the EDZ BID Partnership required a 36 camera, high resolution MPEG4, 25IPS real time, reliable and low-cost wireless system that would cover 23 square miles of industrial area with 24 hour CCTV Surveillance for the recording and monitoring of vehicles and pedestrian traffic, entering and leaving the business estate areas.

The STREAM system was used for the High bandwidth back haul and with A5 23dBi integrated or SPRINT links at the camera ends.

Gibraltar Health Chooses SilverNet

May 2008

Gibraltar Health required two secure connections to expand their current network, the hospital was running 2 remote sites over expensive leased lines and an existing failing wireless link and upgraded to the STREAM system.

This enabled free calls across the whole system as well as a private intranet and HOSPINET system alongside the security which was required.

North Lincolnshire Local Authority Wireless System

April 2008

For North Lincolnshire Safer Neighborhoods, Crosby and Acorns Pathfinder projects with Humberside Police

The police department and local council requirement was for broad coverage across 50 square KM. SilverNet working with MOCAM achieved this by point-to-point and point to Multipoint links into cells which was then disbursed to overt and covert camera locations using Mocams' 'APACHE' system at many locations.

MOCAM has also been selected in North Lincolnshire to provide a private Digital Wireless Network specifically for transmitting CCTV from existing stand alone cameras to the Town Centre CCTV Control Room.

The STREAM system was used for the High bandwidth back haul and the A5 BASE STATION used as the multipoint receiver with A5 23dBi integrated at the camera transmitter ends.

NEW STREAM-MID launched

March 2008

The STREAM-MID has been designed with Bandwidth in mind. Supplied as a pre-configured link or as single units if requested. The bundled systems are designed to plug in and go, having all parts necessary to create a quick wireless link up to 15KM.

The STREAM range works at 5GHz and is compatible with the 802.11a standard and has a data throughput rate of 45+ Mbit/Sec or (SuperAG Enabled) 80+ Mbit/Sec in turbo mode.

NEW 5Ghz SPRINT V2 launched

February 2008

SilverNet has launched its new 5GHz SPRINT V2 building upon the huge success of the A5 SPRINT the NEW SPRINT has dual ethernet ports for GSM GPRS 3G expansion or local connectivity of an IP camera or codec without the need for additional network switches.

The Sprint range has been optimised for short-range  point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links up to 3Km. The SPRINT range adopts OFDM and operates at either 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz.

The SPRINT range is ideal for 'last mile access' requirements at low cost.

MESH Network System launched

SilverNet has launched its new 802.11a/b/g MESH Dual. The ABG MESH Dual operates at 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneously and Features high-speed data transfer, WEP, WPA, and WPA2 encryption. The ABG Mesh Dual is ideal for hand over applications such as mobile and voice due to the self healing nature of the product.

Ifsec success

We would like to thank everyone who visited the Croma Shawley stand over the four days of the Ifsec event to see first hand demonstrations of video and PTZ over SilverNet wireless equipment.

Sandwell Goes Live

March 2007

Sandwell Council and the local police needed a reliable and low-cost wireless system that would cover 9 square miles of industrial area with 24 hour CCTV for the recording and monitoring of number plates of vehicles entering and leaving the business estates area.

This was achieved using the six A5 Base Stations at the central point and the A5 19dBi CPE at the camera locations.

"The images and camera control is totally seamless from the control room, and the operator would not know if it was hard wired or not, or if the camera was outside their control room or 2 miles away"

Thames Barrier chooses SilverNet

Harbour Monitoring System

NLOS Connection

November 2006

A Northern based industrial company required a Non-line-of-sight wireless solution to connect two buildings for use with VoIP and Data communications. Though the link was only 300 meters there was no line of sight. After a Site Survey the 300Mbps link was installed and the customer delighted.

Mesh Hotspot Hotel Solution

October 2006

Using the new ABG Mesh SilverNet was able to provide internet access to all hotel rooms and courtyards of 17 prestigious UK sites. The billing system was in the reception area and controlled by a ticket machine, the user could purchase a ticket from there or over the wireless.

Birmingham Business Perimeter Security

Birmingham Business had problems with theft from the outer perimeter of their business even though it was fenced. Using the SilverNet A5 CPE and A5 Bridge in Multipoint mode they where able to monitor the Perimeter and with motion detection deploy security as soon as there was an incident.

Midlands Local Authority NPR

August 2006

Midlands Number Plate Recognition System has been implemented to reduce joy-riders on a local industrial estate. Since implementation the number of Joy-riders has been reduced dramatically. This was achieved using the SilverNet A5 CPE and A5 base station.

Nature Reserve Uses Wireless For Video and Audio

June 2006

Due to rare egg thefts and vandalism, this nature reserve was required to implement a solution which was in-keeping with its environment. The system had to overcome line-of-sight issues such as trees. Using the SilverNet A5 23dBi and A5 23dBi Dual (where required) the battery, solar and wind powered radios where able to provide excellent connections for the video, audio and telemetry control system. The radios where painted with acrylic paint so they would blend in with the environment.

Sussex Hospital chooses E1/T1 solution

South-coast hospital was running 3 sites over expensive leased lines and upgraded to the SilverNet A5 E1/T1 system with a repeater point. This enabled free calls across the whole system as well as a private intranet alongside the security which was required.
